We created a free Course Sales Page Worksheet that you can download. To watch the video, check out this episode of Teach Online TV. Note: I also recorded a video where I discuss the elements of a sales page, and show you two examples of really well designed online course sales pages.

Call it whatever you want, but the page that I am going to show you how to create is the page that sells your course. Regardless of which term I use, know that I am referring to the same thing. Regardless of the marketing strategy that was used to get someone to your sales page, the important thing is what they do once they get there.īefore we go any further, you should know that I tend to use the terms sales page, course description, and sales letter interchangeably. Or maybe they found it on their own after doing a Google search for a course about your topic. Maybe they just watched you present your course on a live webinar. Maybe they read an article on a blog that recommended it. Maybe they clicked on the link in an email you sent them. Maybe they clicked on an ad that you placed on Facebook. Maybe they heard you mention your course on a podcast and decided to check it out. How someone finds your course sales page is not important (well, actually it is pretty important but just not for the purpose of this article). It’s the page that your prospective students visit before making the decision to sign up – or not sign up – for your course. Your course sales page (also known as your course description, landing page, or sales letter) is the page that describes your course, but more importantly, persuades someone to enroll in it. So what do you do? How do you sell your course without trading your precious time to convince someone to sign up for it?Īnswer: by creating a sales page that sells it for you. Like most course creators, your strength is teaching, not selling. Sales calls are hardly something you’re interested in doing. So you won’t exactly be meeting each of your prospective students over a cup of coffee to tell them how great your course is and convince them to sign up for it.Įven if you could find the time to personally speak with every single one of your prospective students, you probably wouldn’t want to anyway. Plus, your course is online, which means that your students can be from pretty much anywhere in the world as long as they have an internet connection. You’re proud of your content, you know it can help someone, and you’re excited to enroll some students.īut just because you created an online course doesn’t mean that the world is going to beat a path to your door and sign up for it.

If it went to education, to people in poverty, if it went to the right things, I wouldn’t mind.Like most online course creators, it has probably taken you several years and a lot of trial and error to learn what you teach in your course. I wouldn’t mind paying more taxes if it went to the things that really mattered. 3īut when it comes to Obama, Jay-Z must have changed his mind, because he supported the president’s 2008 campaign, 4 he and his wife, Beyonce, are buddies with the first family, even popping in to the White House just for a visit, 5 and Jay-Z even came out in support of Obama’s “Buffet Rule,” saying: It’s not about people, it’s about themselves and their rise to power… don’t have the balls to say, ‘I believe in this, I don’t care what happens.’ And until that happens, nothing is going to get fixed you’re still going to have 14 year olds in cities with AK-47s. Politics – I still think it’s a bunch of liars and a bunch of self-interest. One side of Jay-Z seems to feel that politics is all lies and corruption–and he wants no part of it, saying: I think it’s all the same God, and I don’t believe in Hell. I don’t believe in Christians or Muslims. If people must know my religious beliefs, I believe in one God. He has said:įor the record, I of course believe in God, but I believe in one God. So are a thousand other ways of believing. Religion wasn’t a big part of Jay-Z’s family growing up, but growing up where he did, Jay-Z experienced all kinds, saying:Ĭhurch wasn’t a major part of my life growing up… But when you grow up in a place like Bed-Stuy, church is everywhere. He grew up in the Marcy Projects in Brooklyn, New York but rapped and hustled his way to one of the most successful entertainers of all time. He has said things that would make one believe he hates politics and politicians, but he's supported Obama, so we're going to call him a Democrat.

Jay-Z is non-denominational monotheistic, meaning he believes in one God, but not necessarily Christian, Jewish, or Muslim.
